As The Queen’s representative in Manitoba, and honorary patron, I am pleased to welcome everyone to the 9th Annual Lieutenant-Governor’s Winter Festival.

Winters in Manitoba can be both challenging and rewarding. While we can’t control the temperature or weather conditions, it is good to know there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy and embrace the season. Brandon’s winter festival celebrates winter with outdoor activities and displays and also welcomes visitors to many indoor multicultural pavilions featuring ethnic foods, music and entertainment. It is certainly a wonderful way to make the most of a Manitoba winter weekend.

I commend the organizers, sponsors and volunteers of Lieutenant-Governor’s Winter Festival and extend warmest wishes for another successful event.
