Brandon’s 9th Annual Lieutenant Governor’s Winter Festival took place on February 2, 3, 4, 2012. Fulfilling the vision statement “to provide a winter cultural event that celebrates the many ethnic backgrounds of our community through education, food, music and dance” is carried out through the energies of over 600 volunteers that welcome thousands of people to their pavilions over a 3 day extravaganza. We were pleased to be able to offer free admission to each pavilion as well as provide free transit services – including handi-transit- to festival goers. All this could not be done without the sponsorship and support of over 27 businesses owners and government agencies.

Each pavilion developed their own program schedule, prepared the menus, cooked the food, and booked their entertainment. If you are looking to get involved with the 2013 festival, check out the volunteer opportunities that are listed on the web site.
